Psychotherapy
What is psychotherapy?

Psychotherapy, (also referred to as talk therapy, or counseling) is the process of talking through thoughts and feelings in order to gain more self-awareness, and make changes to live and feel better.
You may feel like you are overall doing well but feel overwhelmed, lost, or stuck in some area of life. There's never a wrong time to come into therapy.
As you tell your story in a confidential space I'll carefully listen, ask questions, and gently provide feedback to help you gain new perspective as you work towards your goals.

You may have/or are currently experiencing issues around:

-
Life transitions
-
Self-worth
-
Confidence
-
Career decisions
-
Relationships
-
Trauma
-
Grief & loss
-
Purpose
-
Balance and health
-

How will we work together?

We'll meet weekly for 50 minute sessions towards your goals one step at a time. As we sit together I'll listen, ask questions, and support you without judgement. I integrate a variety of therapeutic approaches that are appropriate to you based on our work together. I use strategies and techniques from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and somatic-experiencing to help you understand thoughts, feelings and behaviors.

What is the fee per session?

Individual 50 minute sessions are $200.

Do you take insurance?

I am considered an out-of network provider with most insurance companies and provide statements you can submit separately to your insurance company. My clients have a high rate of success in receiving reimbursement for therapy services. Check with your insurance company to learn more about your coverage for out-of network mental health providers.

Here are some questions to ask your health insurance provider:

-
What are my Out Of Network, Mental Health insurance benefits?
-
What is my deductible and has it been met?
-
How many sessions per year does my health insurance cover?
-
What is the coverage amount per therapy session?

What if I need both coaching and therapy?

I'll recommend we work together either in a therapeutic or coaching capacity and may suggest outside professional resources so you get the best support possible.

How often are the sessions?

Therapy sessions are weekly for 50 minutes. Therapy is a process and change is incremental. We'll talk about how you're doing and when you feel better/reach your goals we'll talk about wrapping up therapy. You're always in control so I welcome your thoughts in session as to when you're ready to end our work together.

Where are you located?

I'm based in Maryland but providing virtual telehealth sessions only at this time.

How do I set up an appointment?

The first step is to schedule a free consultation call through my contact page. I'd like to hear briefly what you're going through and answer any questions you have to see if we both think working together is a fit. At that time we'll schedule a first session and I will send you electronic intake forms prior to our first meeting.
